“Serenity”
5.5x10.5  Pastel $795 Landscape
Artist Statement:
Last year, while visiting Tehachapi for the 2023 show, I took some time to explore the area and look for some possible painting locations. When I pulled into Horse Thief Park and got out of my car, I was looking at this scene. It was a Sunday morning, and it was so beautiful and peaceful. I was struck by the Serenity of the place.

“The Reef”
16x12 Pastel $1900 Landscape
Artist Statement:
I have traveled all over the Western United States, visiting our National Parks. Each one has something different to offer. I was blown away by the geology in Capital Reef National Park. I came upon this scene one morning while hiking near my campsite. I was captivated by the big, cool rocks in the foreground, juxtaposed against the higher rocky cliffs in the morning sun.

“Up and Away”
18x24 Pastel $6000 Landscape
Artist Statement:
In 2017 I camped in Idaho to see the total eclipse of the sun. The day before the eclipse, we decided to hike up a trail and find a good vantage point to view the eclipse. As we were coming back down the trail, this pack train came around a bend. I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures, while running alongside the trail. This was one of the last images I captured. It’s all about being in the right place at the right time.
