Damian Kinsella

Damian Kinsella was raised in Tehachapi and now lives in the Los Angeles area.

His still-life compositions are meant to approach Trompe-l'œil, reminiscent of works by Richard La Barre Goodwin or William Harnett. Drawing on a background in sculpting and design, he often creates the subjects he paints, antiquing and weathering handmade items into artifacts of forgotten times, infusing them with a patina of age and authenticity.

Each object he creates is rendered with reverence, a symbol of inherent beauty and storied worth.
