Jeanette Pauer

Jeanette grew up in her mother’s pottery studio, Pfafftown Pottery. Her mother, Sandi Brown, was one of the first female artists to display pottery in the North Carolina Museum of Art.

Jeanette would help her mother glaze pots, create glazes and recycle clay. Jeanette loved working in the studio but it wasn’t until she discovered watercolor in college that she found her medium.

Jeanette graduated from THE Ohio State University with a BFA. She had the opportunity to study in Europe where she received a certification in the restoration of Byzantine mosaics from the Spilimbergo University
de Mosaico.

In recent years Jeanette was a participating artist in the Henry Fukahara watercolor group.
Currently, Jeanette is city Councilwoman in Tehachapi.
