Sandy Fisher
Sandy Fisher, a native of Southern California, developed a passion for the outdoors during her frequent travels throughout the Western United States with her family. Her love for adventure deepened when she met her husband, John, a rock climber and mountaineer. They explored the Sierra Nevada Mountains together, and Sandy was often inspired by the stunning landscapes, sparking her interest in painting. Though she engaged in creative outlets, her painting aspirations remained on hold while she focused on her family and career.
In 2005, a diagnosis of metastatic cancer prompted Sandy to reevaluate her life and pursue her dream of painting full-time. She left her banking career to focus on her art, studying with renowned artists and participating in workshops to hone her skills. Sandy's dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including awards such as "Best of Show" and the City of Santa Clarita's "Excellence in Art" award. She is an active member of several art associations and plays a key role in promoting the visual arts in her community through her involvement with the Santa Clarita Arts Commission.
