Vicki Pedersen
Art has been a constant and important companion for Vicki Pedersen throughout her life. An award- winning artist, Vicki’s passion is for painting the west (Western USA) – the incredible landscapes, cowboys and cowgirls, Native Americans, and horses. She works mostly in oils but loves to work in graphite and charcoal. Traveling throughout the west enables her to paint from life (plein air) and take the photo references she uses for her work.
She has studied (through workshops) with a number of amazing artists (Debra Huse, William Schneider, Frank Serrano, Richard Sturgill, Grant Redden, Chad Poppleton, Michael Obermeyer, Charles Dayton, Jim McVicker and others.
Vicki is a signature member of and serves on the board of the Women’s Artists of the West, member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society and the California Art Club. In 2022, three of her paintings were juried into national shows with one of the three paintings winning an award. Her work has been shown in Settler’s West Gallery (Tucson, AZ), Wilcox Gallery (Jackson, WY), Mary Williams Fine Art (Boulder CO), The Museum of Western Art (Kerrville, TX), McBride Gallery (Annapolis, MD), Beverly McNeil Gallery (Birmingham, AL), Huse Skelly Gallery (Newport Beach, CA and others. She is represented by Randy Higbee Gallery in Costa Mesa, CA.
Vicki was born and raised in Utah. She and her husband of 45 years, their dogs, and birds live in Riverside, CA but they spend lots of time in the places they really love -- Utah and Wyoming.
